Mahesh Bhatt extends the olive branch to Mallika through an SMS, ending the three year-old cold war between her and the Bhatts.
The Mallika Sherawat-Mahesh Bhatt fallout was one of the more famous mentor-protégé fallouts in Bollywood. Three years ago, the Bhatt camp had accused the actor of hogging the limelight at the Murder party. Thus, ticked off, Mallika, in return, refused to work with the Bhatts again.

The trouble was further aggravated when she declined Zeher on the ground that she did not like the script.
Following this stance, Mallika was banned from the Bhatt camp permanently. But now, the three-year long battle has finally come to an end. Apparently, realisation that Mallika was an asset to them dawned on the Bhatts after Zeher flopped. So, when Mahesh decided to throw a party celebrating the 100 weeks of Murder, he decided to send an SMS to Mallika. When contacted Bhatt said, "It's true that I invited Mallika and she simply asked me about the venue and the time. I was happy that she accepted the invite."
Considering Bhatt had been extremely rude to Mallika at that time, how did he convince her to bury the hatchet now? "I want to put it on record that I never bad-mouthed Mallika. I think my unit members had some issue with her. I was not in touch with her for three years, because we were working on films for which we didn't require her. Once in a while we used to exchange SMSs. However, when we thought of celebrating the success of my production house, I thought that she should be invited because Mallika is a part of our production house," he said.
So, do the Bhatts harbour any desire of working with her again? "We would love to work with her again. But both of us have to agree on a script," he added. Mallika, however, was unavailable for comment.
